Fish & Chip Takeaway

Our relatively new venture garnered accolades in its first year of opening, actually making it into the Top 5 Fish & Chip Shops in the West Country. Situated below the restaurant, one can take advantage of our seating area which is nestled right on the beach.  As well as the sustainably caught local fish, another speciality of ours are Thai fish cakes which are homemade in our kitchen.

Townside Takeaway

This takeaway, which is situated at the other end of the beach to our Café/Restaurant, has been set up with families in mind.  We have created a menu of traditional snacks typical for the beach; including Cornish pasties, freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and baguettes whch can be made to order, chips, hamburgers, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks. We also appreciate that we have that we have to be price competitive and we are confident we offer value for money as well as convenience.

Beach Bar

In conjunction with the Townside Takeaway , our Beach Bar offers value for money with a selection of leading brand spirits, premium beers, local ales and ciders, and jugs of pimms and sangria.  The drinks can be enjoyed on our mediterraen style sun decked terrace with is ideally positioned on our inimitable sand.

Beach Shops

Forgotten anything for your day at the beach? Not only do we cater for you with our shops, we also stock everything from wetsuits and dingies, to toys and sweets. Also the shops hire our deckchairs , windbreaks and parasols for your convenience.

Garden Bar

Our putting green’s 19th hole has recently expanded to include a fully licensed bar, freshly ground coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, cream teas and much more …. Such as our barbeque which has freshly landed seafood from the restaurant at its disposal!  Also, look out for our themed cooking, such as our paella evenings.

Ice Cream Parlour (New to 2012)

We are proud to announce our classic ice cream parlour on the townside of the beach.  The parlour caters to the whole family with a menu including, sundaes, milkshakes, ice cream floats, biscuit and waffle cones, tubs.  All can be served with a variety of sauces, toppings and creams.

Chalets

Situated beneath the steep slopes of Porthminster Point, right on the beach with panoramic views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse.  Porthminster Beach currently has 36 chalets which are available to hire on a weekly or seasonal basis.

Our chalets offer daytime freedom for all the family to store their beach goods and to come and go as they please.  Each chalet comes equipped with two deckchairs. Further items such as parasols and windbreaks can be hired daily or at a special weekly rate from the shops located on the beach.
